PINK RIBBON STREET APPEAL AREA CO-ORDINATOR (HANMER SPRINGS/KAIKOURA):  If you are a secondary school boarder and heading back home over the weekend of 12th and 13th of October 2018, consider how you might help with this year’s Pink Ribbon Street Appeal.  Area Co-ordinators are needed to oversee site in these areas, coordinate on the day, set up rosters.  A great leadership project.  This role aligns with Goal 3 ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’ of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

Organisation: New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation

Mission: To reduce the number of New Zealanders who die from breast cancer and to improve outcomes and quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.

APPEAL COLLECTOR FOR WOMEN’S REFUGE:  The West Christchurch Women’s Refuge would love your help during their Annual Appeal Week, 18-21 July.  Locations around the city; two-hour shifts.  This role aligns with Goals 3 ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’  and 5 ‘Gender Equality’ of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

Mission: To promote and protect the right of women and children to live lives free from violence and abuse.

ARE YOU AN OP SHOPPER?  Here’s a chance to get involved behind the scenes and pick up some retail skills along the way.  Roles available Saturdays in Richmond and Hornby stores.  If you love fashion, antiques and collectables, here’s your chance.  These Op Shops provide necessary financial support to allow organisations to provide services in the community.  For that reason, this role aligns with Goals 1 ‘No Poverty’, 2 ‘Zero Hunger’, 3 ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’ as well as 12 ‘Responsible consumption and Production’.  Wow, what an impact!

STREET APPEAL COLLECTORS: The Muscular Dystrophy Association Canterbury are looking for enthusiastic people to join their annual street appeal and collection at Westfield Riccarton, The Palms and South City on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th of September.  Got an idea for a site closer to your home/school?  Then that could work too!  Your efforts will help raise much-needed funds for people in the Canterbury region living with neuromuscular conditions.  Grab a friend and get in there!  This role aligns with Goal 3 ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’ of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
